AUSTRALIA’S rising cycling stars are taking the fast track to racing in Europe because the country is seen as a ‘clean’ country with rare drug use in the sport.
According to rising Victorian cycling star Mitchell Docker, his attempt to race in Europe – where all the big races are – was made easier simply because he was an Australian.
Docker says the `clean’ perception in the cycling world has given him his opportunity to blossom on the European circuit.
